Why Is Impact Texas Driver Certification Required in Texas?

The Impact Texas Drivers (ITD) program is an important requirement for eligible drivers preparing for the Texas driving skills test. Developed by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the program focuses on the dangers and consequences of distracted driving through educational videos and real-life stories. Drivers must complete the appropriate ITD program and present proof of completion before their driving skills test.
